Hi Graham
while we have a specific beef with RNZ's Nights programme, the rest of RNZ doesn't deserve to be painted with that brush. They do a lot of very good climate change coverage, including the science, and stuff on coal and a whole bunch of articles and interviews that are very good. They often interview us on our views, and I've been on Morning Report a few times recently.
So I wouldn't tar the whole of RNZ with the "Nights with Brian Crump" brush: I just don't think it's warranted.

Totally agree. RNZ in particular should NOT be promoting this industry greenwash. I keep going back to these quotes: “Polls show that a majority of people… believe global warming is a fact, and yet somehow they don’t believe it will really affect their lives, and they certainly don’t intend to change their own lives radically to help stop it happening…
…‘Global warming is a problem – but not yet, O Lord, please’ is their unconscious prayer. Folk who DO take global warming seriously are thought slightly mad, or over-intense, unlike the sensible majority who just somehow know things will always go on as they do today….
…it’s like religion: don’t bring it up. …
Easier to carry on as usual…”
Maggie Gee, in ‘Seeing Further: The Story of Science, Discovery and the Genius of the Royal Society.’ (Bill Bryson Ed., HarperCollins, 2010)
Can we hold RNZ to account?
