All around Aotearoa, local and regional groups are forming to take action against the expansion of coal mining.
This is your chance to get involved in action in your region.
On this page:
Coal Action Network Aotearoa organises the national campaign, while the regional groups set the agenda for their own region. The flow of information and resources works both ways. We’re autonomous groups working towards the same objective.
Southland: Coal Action Murihiku, contact email@example.com
Dunedin: Southern Anti-Coal Action, contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Top of the South (Marlborough, Nelson, Tasman, Golden Bay): Contact Helen Tulett, email@example.com
Wellington: An informal group meets every two months, plus additional meetings as needed to organise actions. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org

There are also signs of groups forming, or people who have agreed to act as contacts, in Whanganui-Manawatu, Top of the South and South Canterbury. If you are in one of those areas and want to be put in touch, please email us at email@example.com.
